Celebrate National Reconciliation Week 2020 (27 May to 3 June) with a bevy of great First Nations made films, documentaries, shorts and more from the comfort of your living room.
From feature films to documentaries, shorts and more, we’ve compiled this list of great SAFC supported First Nations productions to inform, entertain and inspire – all available to watch right now on demand.

The below South Australian Indigenous productions aren’t SAFC supported, but we recommend them as great viewing.
- Never Stop Riding (short film)
A mini spaghetti western by Alec Baker, Peter Mungkuri and Mr Kunmanara Pompey, three senior artists and respected leaders from Indulkana community on the APY Lands, SA.
- Moogy’s Yuki (documentary)
South Australian production company Change Media worked with Ngarrindjeri Elder Major Moogy Sumner to document the making of the first traditional Ngarrindjeri / Boandik tree canoe on Boandik country in over 100 years. This evocative documentary is part of an educational River Redgum DVD combining Caring for Country best practice with transmission of traditional culture.
- Ngarrindjeri Shorts (documentary series)
South Australian production company Change Media worked with the Ngarrindjeri Regional Authority and the wider Ngarrindjeri community to create a video to represent Ngarrindjeri culture, past and present. Directed by Jennifer Lyons-Reid (SA) and produced by Carl Kuddell (SA).
