The SAFC is pleased to announce the appointment of Julia Light as SAFC Program Coordinator.

Julia joins the SAFC Production and Development Team as a passionate advocate for the South Australian screen industry with a broad experience base. A graduate of MAPS Film School, Julia has worked with a number of SA screen organisations including The Mercury, Academy of Interactive Entertainment (AIE) and the 48 Hour Film Project, where she served most recently as Event and Marketing Manager. Julia was also a participant in the AFTRS Talent Camp 2022 South Australia and Woman Rising program, and is a Committee Member of the SA Chapter of the Australian Writers’ Guild (AWG).

Julia commenced her role on 28 August, taking over from Jess Cahill who has been appointed to the role of SAFC Program Manager.

SAFC CEO Kate Croser said: “We are delighted to welcome Julia to the SAFC as our new Program Coordinator. Julia has been a highly engaged and talented contributor to the SA screen industry for many years, including regularly volunteering at SAFC events and engaging with SAFC programs, and she comes to the agency with a wealth of experience and local knowledge. I look forward to working with Julia and seeing what she will bring to the Production and Development team.”
