Adelaide Film Festival announces Hive Lab #4
03 July 2017
Adelaide: Following the phenomenal international success of the three rounds of HIVE, which saw the collaboration of artists from different disciplines create innovative and internationally acclaimed new screen projects, the Adelaide Film Festival (ADL FF) today announced the initiative will continue with HIVE LAB #4 and HIVE FUND #4. The LAB is now open for applications from across Australia to join in the Lab during Adelaide Film Festival in October 2017.
HIVE LAB #4 will be an intensive 3-day workshop during the 2017 ADL FF, bringing together artists from around Australia and from different backgrounds, disciplines and experiences. With representatives from film, literature, the performing and visual arts participating and driven by a team of brilliant mentors from a number of disciplines, The Hive Lab invites practitioners from a variety of forms to gain insight into the creative processes of other media, and aims to inspire artists of all kinds to consider film as a creative outlet.
CEO of the South Australian Film Corporation Annabelle Sheehan said “We are truly proud to support the HIVE initiative which has produced such exceptional works of international acclaim. To now see the initiative continue with a fourth round is a true sign of success for what has become such an important and distinctively South Australian initiative. We look forward to welcoming the fourth round of HIVE Lab participants at the ADL FF in October as they begin to forge new creative collaborations”.
The festival is calling for HIVE LAB #4 applications now. Closing Friday 11 August.
