Call for EOIs: attend the Australian International Movie Convention 2026
17 September 2026

Want to connect with and learn from exhibitors, distributors and global industry leaders from across the cinema sector? The SAFC is offering four full passes valued at $1,440 each for South Australian filmmakers to attend the Australian International Movie Convention (AIMC), held on the Gold Coast from 26–29 October 2026.
The AIMC, now in its 79th year, is the Southern Hemisphere’s premier cinema industry event. It is the only event on the Australian film industry calendar that offers opportunities to network with local and international exhibitors, distributors, filmmakers, and technology and cinema equipment suppliers under one roof.
Attracting delegates from Australia, New Zealand, Asia, the US and Europe, the AIMC lets attendees enjoy exclusive distributor presentations, advance screenings and first looks at upcoming releases, hear the latest industry insights, market trends and innovations shaping the future of exhibition, and connect with industry and colleagues.
The program includes the Screen Australia Masterclass (26 October), which is aimed at mid-career and senior Australian filmmakers and brings together members with the common goal of creating commercially impactful Australian films annually, with presentations from exhibitors, distributors, filmmakers, marketers, publicists and screen agency executives.
