South Australian writer, director, producer and actor Tilda Cobham-Hervey is set to launch her feature film directorial debut with It’s All Going Very Well No Problems At All, supported by the South Australian Film Corporation (SAFC).

The drama will be Cobham-Hervey’s first feature film credit as both writer and director, and follows her success with A Field Guide to Being a 12-Year-Old Girl which won the coveted Crystal Bear for Best Short Film at the Berlin International Film Festival (Berlinale) in 2018.

It’s All Going Very Well No Problems At All also sees Cobham-Hervey (Young Woman and The Sea, I Am Woman, 52 Tuesdays) star as well as produce alongside Liam Heyen (Jimpa, Latecomers), Dev Patel (Lion, Monkey Man) and Jomon Thomas (Hotel Mumbai, Monkey Man), with Natalya Pavchinskaya and Cyna Strachan executive producing. Key creatives include DOP Andrew Commis ACS, Production Designer Jonathon Oxlade (SA), Costume Designer Renate Henschke (SA), Co-Producer Carly Maple (SA) and Associate Producer Kate Champion.

The film follows Audrey (Cobham-Hervey), a young artist teetering on the edge of a quiet collapse, who finds solace and understanding through a profound connection with Harold, an elderly resident at the care home where she works.

Minister for the Arts Andrea Michaels MP said: “It’s wonderful to see another major screen production coming to life in South Australia, especially one created and led by such an exciting local creative as Tilda Cobham-Hervey. The Malinauskas Government is committed to supporting South Australia’s screen industry through the SAFC. These productions create jobs for skilled crew and talent and deliver significant economic and cultural benefits for the state.”

SAFC CEO Kate Croser said: “The SAFC is delighted to be supporting this new original feature film from one of South Australia’s brightest rising screen talents, Tilda Cobham-Hervey. We are thrilled to be supporting Tilda’s feature writing and directing debut with this film, which the SAFC has backed from its early stages with both script development funding and production funding.”

Tilda Cobham-Hervey said: “I’m incredibly grateful to have the support of the SAFC for my directorial debut, which we’re so excited to be filming in Adelaide – my hometown. It is a great privilege to have the chance to collaborate with so many extraordinary Adelaide creatives, some whose work I’ve admired for years, and others I’ve had the joy of growing up alongside. I feel so lucky to be surrounded by such a passionate and talented community. The SAFC’s unwavering support for homegrown talent is what makes projects like this possible, and I couldn’t be more thankful. I can’t wait to share what we’ve been working on.”

Liam Heyen said: “I first met Tilda in a recording booth back in 2016, as she prepared to play Helen Reddy in I Am Woman. Even then, her tenacity, grace and singular way of seeing the world were impossible to miss. It’s these same qualities I saw in It’s All Going Very Well No Problems At All and I can’t wait to help bring her debut feature film to audiences, who I am sure will delight in the moving story of Audrey and Harold.”

A Mad Ones and Minor Realm production, It’s All Going Very Well No Problems At All has major production investment from Screen Australia and S’ya Concept in association with the SAFC, with support from the Adelaide Film Festival Investment Fund. Local distribution by Kismet.
