South Australian producers off to Venice and Toronto Festivals

Boys In The Trees, a feature film shot on-location across suburban Adelaide, and co-produced by Adelaide Studios based Hedone Productions will have its world premiere at the Venice International Film Festival on September 9, and screen at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 13.
Supported by the South Australian Film Corporation (SAFC), Boys in the Trees tells the story of two estranged childhood friends who reunite on Halloween 1997 and embark on a surreal journey through their memories, dreams and fears.
Boys In the Trees is produced by John Molloy of Melbourne-based Mushroom Pictures with the bold and innovative Hedone Productions, led by South Australian producers Kate Croser and Sandy Cameron, co-producing the film.
Boys In The Trees was shot across suburban Adelaide over five weeks in September 2015. Locations included St Peters, Port Adelaide, Unley Park, North Adelaide, Semaphore, Urrbrae, Brownhill Creek and Mitcham.
Boys In The Trees is one of only five Australian films to be screened at the Toronto International Film Festival, while at the Venice Film Festival, it’s one of three Australian films and will premiere in the prestigious Orizzonti section of the festival.
