South Australia shines in 2026 Logie Award nominations

South Australia is set to shine at the 2026 Logie Awards, with two South Australian made and SAFC supported productions scoring nominations across three categories.
Acclaimed drama RFDS has picked up three award nominations for its third season – the first to be filmed in South Australia, supported by the SAFC. As well as a nomination for Best Drama Program, the series has scored two nominations for Best Lead Actor in a Drama for stars Rob Collins and Stephen Peacocke.
Produced by SA’s Lisa Scott, the Endemol Shine Australia (a Banijay Entertainment company) Channel Seven series was filmed at the SAFC’s Adelaide Studios in Glenside and across the Flinders Ranges last year, including at the Port Augusta Royal Flying Doctor Service base and in Quorn. SA made and SAFC supported romantic comedy series Top End Bub is nominated for Best Scripted Comedy Program. Co-created, co-written and co-executive produced by SA’s Joshua Tyler and Miranda Tapsell, the eight-part series is a sequel to 2019 hit SA film Top End Wedding and was filmed in Adelaide and Darwin with support from the SAFC and Screen Territory. And ABC comedy Austin – which recently wrapped production on its third season in South Australia with support from the SAFC – has also picked up three nominations for Best Scripted Comedy Program and Best Actor in a Comedy for stars Ben Miller and Michael Theo. The Logies are the Australian television industry’s annual celebration of screen excellence, with awards recognising talent across entertainment, drama, comedy, reality, lifestyle, current affairs and sport.
