South Australia is set to shine at the 2022 Logie Awards, with two South Australian made and SAFC supported productions scoring nominations across multiple categories.

Hit Stan, BBC One and HBO Max series The Tourist, produced by Adelaide Studios based SA producer Lisa Scott of Highview Productions, has scored three nominations including for Most Outstanding Miniseries or Telemovie. Star Jamie Dornan also received a nomination for Most Outstanding Actor, while co-star Damon Herriman received a nomination for Most Outstanding Supporting Actor.

It’s the latest accolade for the Flinders Ranges filmed mystery thriller series, which is also up for a Golden Nymph Award at the Monte-Carlo Television Festival in June, honouring the best in international television production.

And ABC series Aftertaste from Adelaide Studios based Closer Productions is up for the Logie Award for Most Popular Comedy Program. Produced by South Australian producers Rebecca Summerton, Matt Bate and Erik Thomson, written by South Australians Matt Vesely and Matt Bate, with Julie de Fina and Jodie Molloy, and filmed in the Adelaide Hills, the series is now up for a public vote to win its category at tvweeklogiesvote.com.

The Logies are the Australian television industry’s annual celebration of screen excellence, with nominees in the Most Popular and Most Outstanding categories recognising talent across entertainment, drama, comedy, reality, lifestyle, current affairs and sport. The Most Outstanding Awards are chosen by a panel of TV industry experts, while the Most Popular Awards are open to the Australian public.

The SAFC congratulates the entire creative teams behind these great productions.
