Closes 11.59pm 22 March 2026
The South Australian Film Corporation (SAFC) warmly invites Expressions of Interest (EOIs) from respected emerging and experienced SA‑based screen practitioners, or individuals involved in the South Australian screen sector and/or broader creative industries, to join our new Screen Industry Diversity and Inclusion Advisory Group.
The Diversity & Inclusion Advisory Group (DIAG) has been established to bring together experienced and respected screen industry practitioners who champion inclusive and equitable practices within the South Australian screen sector. The group will support SAFC leadership by providing informed advice, based on lived experience, and industry insights that promote best practice approaches to diversity, equity, access, and cultural safety.
We welcome EOIs from people with lived experience or community connection to one or more of the following underrepresented backgrounds: Female; First Nations; LGBTQIA+; Regional and Remote; Socio‑Economically Disadvantaged; Culturally and Linguistically Diverse; and Deaf and disabled people.
Members will bring industry experience, business acumen, and strategic insight across a wide range of areas, including SAFC programs and initiatives, organisational governance, legal and regulatory considerations, and future opportunities for sector development.
The DIAG will also help identify and interpret trends across the screen industry, ensuring South Australian practitioners and companies are supported to adopt best practice, drive innovation, and remain competitive in an evolving national and global landscape.
Diversity & Inclusion Advisory Group members:
- will be appointed for two-year terms
- will select a Chair from amongst the group
- will be entitled to receive fees for attending DIAG meetings (at least three of four scheduled meetings a year), as well as ad hoc SAFC and industry events as requested
- may attend meetings conducted in person and/or online
- must act respectfully, in good faith and in the interests of the SAFC at all times, abiding by the SAFC’s Values, Code of Conduct, Terms of Trade, and any other applicable SAFC policies, procedures or governance frameworks such as those relating to conflict of interest and confidentiality.
SAFC staff will prepare and distribute meeting papers and assist members with other travel and accommodation arrangements where applicable.
