The SAFC is pleased to announce the appointment of two new staff members joining the agency this month: Alex Knopoff as Communications and Marketing Coordinator, and Anita Kimber as SDIN Project Officer.

Alex Knopoff joins the SAFC’s Communications and Marketing team from the Australian Institute of Architects, where she has been working as Communications and Projects Lead for the SA Chapter. Before making the switch to communications and marketing Alex studied media at MAPS and university and spent five years working in video editing. She is looking forward to being back in the world of screen and commences her role on 14 August.

Anita Kimber has a background in project support, including many years working at a senior level in the insurance sector, and has deep experience advocating for the LGBTQIA+ and neurodiverse communities. She also has a passion for the screen industry, particularly sci-fi and horror screenwriting, and stories focusing on traditionally under-represented groups within these genres. She is excited to be joining the SAFC to provide support to the Screen Diversity and Inclusion Network (SDIN) and commences her role on 15 August.

SAFC CEO Kate Croser said: “We are delighted to welcome both Alex and Anita to the SAFC. Both appointees bring a wealth of new skills and experience to the agency, and we are confident they will be invaluable assets to the organisation. I look forward to working with them both. I would also like to thank SAFC Receptionist Danae Flack for her extra efforts filling in as Interim SDIN Project Officer for the last few months.”
