13 March 2026

Three South Australian First Nations creatives will travel to New Zealand next week to participate in film development lab Story Camp Aotearoa 2026, presented by Script to Screen (STS) NZ and supported by the SAFC.
Running 16-20 March in Auckland, Story Camp is an intensive residential feature film development lab designed to foster craft, voice, and vision. The program supports screenwriters and creative teams to deepen their understanding of their script and project through a range of group and solo development activities.
The selected SA First Nations creatives and their projects are:
- Battle of the Ancestors
- Writer/director Natasha Wanganeen
- Producer Isaac Coen Lindsay
- The Malibu King
- Writer/director Edoardo Crismani
The South Australian practitioners will join eight New Zealand-based teams in Auckland for a five-day program of workshops and activities to develop their projects, including one‑on‑one mentoring sessions with international and local advisors, group meetings, actors workshops, vision and voice development and more.
