Production begins on season two of Stan original series Wolf Creek

03 July 2017

Australia’s leading local streaming service Stan announced today that production has begun in South Australia on season 2 of WOLF CREEK, the highly anticipated second season of its award-winning, smash-hit, critically-acclaimed Stan Original drama series.

Director Greg McLean and star John Jarratt continue their hugely successful collaboration in the world of WOLF CREEK, with Jarratt reprising his iconic role as the outback apex predator Mick Taylor, who returns with a vengeance after his season 1 showdown.

A six-part drama series, WOLF CREEK season 2 is a high-end psychological thriller pitting a diverse cast of characters against an inhospitable, remote landscape, whose lethal dangers are personified  by the series’ infamous serial killer. Mick Taylor sees an opportunity of a lifetime after a chance encounter with a coach full of tourists from around the globe. The unwitting travellers begin an outback adventure none of them could have imagined.

CEO of the South Australian Film Corporation Annabelle Sheehan said “SAFC is delighted to welcome production of WOLF CREEK back to South Australia, providing the setting for next instalment of this iconic Australian thriller series. One of the many advantages to shooting in South Australia is the easy access to the majestic yet fearsome outback locations which are so firmly rooted in the character of this story.”
