Miriam Silva reappointed to SAFC Board

The South Australian Film Corporation is delighted to announce that Miriam Silva has been re-appointed to the SAFC Board.

Miriam is a member of the South Australian Women’s Honour roll 2011, one of the inaugural 100 Women of Influence, winner of the Governor’s Multicultural Award for the Private Sector 2012 and is the Multicultural Patron for the SA Police Academy and International Women’s Day Committee (SA)

Miriam sits on a number of boards including the University of SA Council, CEDA National Board and Malek Fahd Islamic School, Chairs Premier’s Council for Women (SA), InTouch Multicultural Centre Against Family Violence and CEDA SA and NT State Council. She volunteers with a number of organisations including the Muslim Women’s Association of SA Inc. and Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre.

Minister for Innovation and Skills The Hon. David Pisoni MP congratulated Ms Silva on her reappointment.

“Congratulations to Miriam Silva who was recently re-appointed to the South Australian Film Corporation Board. Ms Silva has more than 20 years’ experience managing large and geographically diverse teams across multiple industries including pharmaceuticals, banking and agriculture,” he said.

SAFC Chair Peter Hanlon said: “We are delighted to welcome Miriam to the SAFC Board for another term. Her wealth of experience and knowledge is an invaluable addition to the organisation.”
