First Nations Screen Creatives Business Leadership Workshop

First Nations screen creatives in South Australia can access tailored entrepreneurial business skills training through this exciting and highly informative two-day workshop, presented by the South Australian Film Corporation (SAFC).

Delivered by award-winning creative industries specialist and business coach Monica Davidson, the First Nations Screen Creatives Business Leadership workshop will cover a range of topics, including business basics, intellectual property, collaboration techniques, diversification of income and self-accountability.

Creative industries specialist Monica Davidson will lead the workshop.

Over the two days, participants will also be taught how to provide peer coaching and will receive additional information, resources, worksheets and activities.

All South Australian First Nations screen creatives are strongly encouraged to engage with this unique and one-off opportunity in an inclusive training setting aligned within industry practice to better inform and empower decision making and partnerships in screen business.

Participants can sign up for the second day without having attended the first day.

Dates: Saturday 18 November 2023 and Saturday 6 April 2024
Time: 9.30am to 4.30pm both days
Location: SA Film Corporation, 1 Mulberry Road Glenside
Cost: Free, but places are limited.

PLEASE NOTE: The First Nations Screen Creatives Business Leadership workshop is open to SA First Nations (Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander) practitioners only. It is expected that First Nations creatives engage with this unique and rare opportunity in an inclusive training setting aligned within industry practice to better inform and empower decision making and partnerships in screen business.
