Concept to Controller: How to launch your video game with Jon Cartwright

Calling all South Australian game developers! Want to level up your business acumen?
In the lead-up to the 2025 SAGE: SA Game Exhibition the South Australian Film Corporation (SAFC) is welcoming games business development consultant Jon Cartwright for a special presentation especially for SA game developers on the ins and outs of the game development business.
With over 30 years of experience in the games industry, Jon aims to help indie developers pitch, manage and publish their games. Join him for this special afternoon as he walks you through the process of releasing a game, from the early stages of development through to final release.
This presentation will cover a range of topics including:
- How to effectively manage risk;
- Publisher contracts and terms – what to look out for;
- How to define and deliver your production milestones;
- How to prepare for commercial delivery and beyond;
- and more!
This insightful afternoon will conclude with networking and light refreshments.
Presented by the South Australian Film Corporation (SAFC) at Game Plus, this is an open event for anyone who fits the following criteria:
- You must be a South Australian resident, aged 18 or over;
- You must NOT be a part-time or full-time student;
- You must be actively working on a digital game.
Tickets are free but registration is essential to keep track of numbers.
