Ricky Hutcheson

First Nations Advisory Group member Ricky Hutcheson

Ricky Hutcheson is a proud Wakka Wakka man, born and raised on Larrakia country and has been living and working on Kaurna land for over 15 years.

Ricky’s passion for screen media saw him undertake a Masters of Animation Production, where he majored in Project Management. Soon after, he took on the temporary role of Social Media Manager for a prominent Adelaide media design school, and in later years held a Lecturer position at the University of South Australia for their University Preparatory Program, where he taught Games, Media and ICT.

Ricky is the co-director/producer on the Channel 44 series Mob Talks, and has been involved in several SAFC led initiatives that focus on training First Nations film practitioners. He has a deep passion for initiatives that help to bolster and promote community programs and people.
