The film is inspired by the urban legend of 18-year-old Ruby Bland, who died in 1909 in Kapunda, South Australia – with claims her ghost haunts the town’s St John’s Cemetery. In Ruby, Ruby, Ollie and Hannah awaken a deadly curse when they find themselves trapped in a haunted cemetery with a malicious predator, thrusting them into a nightmarish battle for survival against evils, both supernatural and human. The restless spirit of a murdered girl Ruby Brand is unable to move on into the afterlife and seems locked for eternity to terrorise the cemetery where she is buried. That is until Ollie and Hannah awaken her vengeful ghost, giving her the opportunity to change the course of her destiny.
