SAGE: SA Game Exhibition levels up in 2026 with more than 40 SA video games to see and play for free!

Adelaide’s biggest and most exciting video games event for developers and fans alike, the South Australian Game Exhibition (SAGE) returns in 2026 with a record number of new and innovative games on display, and all the FREE, family-friendly fun you can pack into two days! Now in its fourth exciting year, SAGE is South Australia’s premier event championing the state’s game development industry, taking over Adelaide Studios as part of the Adelaide Fringe on Friday 6 and Saturday 7 February, 2026.
Presented by the South Australian Film Corporation (SAFC), SAGE is a super showcase of South Australia’s video game development sector, with a huge range of locally made games on display to see and play. SAGE allows video game fans, players, enthusiasts and everyone in between to experience exciting new South Australian made games first-hand and meet the people behind them.
SAGE 2026 returns with:
- A record 41 video games from local developers and studios across mobile, PC, console and VR, all available to play for FREE over two huge exhibition spaces at the SAFC’s Adelaide Studios;
- 15 new games studios and/or games showcasing at SAGE for the first time;
- Exclusive first-looks at awesome unreleased SA made games;
- Opportunities to meet local creators, developers and studios and find out more about their work;
- Informative displays from partner organisations across industry, education and more, so you can find out about the exciting career pathways on offer in the sector and how you can be a part of it;
- The return of the “SAGE Advice” program of talks and panel discussions featuring local developers and industry experts sharing their insights and tips;
- The popular Refuel Zone with food trucks and refreshments,
- …and more! And it’s all FREE!

The 2026 SAGE Advice program of talks and discussion panels will once again take over Adelaide Studios’ Screening Theatre, with a range of national industry experts, local developers, education sector representatives and more, with the full program to be announced in January.
And in an exciting new expansion, the SAFC will partner with the South Australian Games Association (SAGA) in presenting the 2026 SA Game Industry Awards at Adelaide Studios as the thrilling conclusion to SAGE, with the SAGE Awards announced as part of the proceedings. The SAGE Awards offer $2,000 cash from the SAFC for Best in Exhibition and $1,000 in legal services from SAGE sponsor and games industry specialist Cam Rogers Legal for the SAGE Elevate Award, both determined by an industry jury.

Our state is home to brilliant creative minds and the games industry presents significant opportunities for South Australia.
