If you don’t speak Greek, you’re in trouble. A bit of Greece survives in suburban Australia’s Kafenios, with cafes that are a cross between a men’s club, mafia den and a nursing home. When Bill is forced to take over his uncle’s Kafenio, Kosta sees an opportunity to make a fast buck off the kid, just so long as he can keep his cool, his wife at bay and the cops on side. Stars Chris Asimos, Chris Fitzgibbons, Yianni Giatrakos. Official Selection – Melbourne International Film Festival Winner – SA Screen Awards Best Screenplay & Best Cinematography Winner – Sydney Film Festival CRC Award Winner – SBS Television Awards, Film Chosen by SBS for Broadcast
