11 December 2020
Six South Australian screen businesses, including production, digital content and animation studios, are on track for new growth in 2021 with the help of the SAFC’s new Screen Business program.
Announced today, the six companies – For Pete’s Sake Productions, Triptych Pictures, KOJO, 57 Films, Closer Productions and Monkeystack – have all been selected to undertake specialised business training under the SAFC’s Screen Business Planning and Mentoring Program (SBPMP).
Each business will receive up to $5,000 in business mentoring to assist them in creating a comprehensive business plan for growth and attracting investment.
Following the planning and mentorship phase, set to start this month, the six businesses will become eligible to apply for the SAFC’s Screen Business Accelerator Program (SBAP), which offers business loans of a maximum $200,000 per annum for up to two years to assist in expansion, diversification and innovation for future growth.
SAFC CEO Kate Croser congratulated the six successful businesses.
“With South Australia’s screen sector poised to take advantage of the many opportunities emerging out of COVID-19 and the changing content landscape, the SAFC’s new two-part Screen Business program is a crucial way for us to support South Australian screen businesses to achieve growth and attract increased investment through business planning and mentorship,” she said.
“I congratulate the six recipients and look forward to seeing what they achieve in the years ahead.”
