SAFC Welcomes Screen Business Essentials to Adelaide

For the first time ever the full day Screen Business Essentials course presented by Screen Producers Assocation (SPA) in conjunction with Australian Film Television and Radio School (AFTRS) will be hosted by the SAFC at Adelaide Studios. This outstanding professional development event has been funded by the SAFC and all South Australian emerging, mid-career and established screen makers are strongly encouraged to apply to attend.
Screen Business Essentials gets to the heart of establishing and developing a world-class screen business. The workshop covers the commercial framework in which producers must operate, including issues surrounding the operation a of creative business from the ground up.
The course will provide a thorough grounding in the financial, legal, commercial, creative and entrepreneurial aspects of developing and sustaining a competitive production business. The workshop will feature experienced leaders from across the industry including special guest speakers SAFC CEO Courtney Gibson, Jenny Lalor of Lalor Law, Screen Works CEO Ken Crouch, Screen Australia Policy Analyst Patrick May, Business Coach and Producer Ellenor Cox and entrepreneurial leadership and start-up specialist and producer Kylee Ingram.
The Screen Business Essentials program is vital for start-ups while also serving as a refresher for established businesses.
