Established in 1987, the Australian International Documentary Conference (AIDC) is the Asia-Pacific’s premier event for documentary, specialist factual and unscripted entertainment.

Featuring a three-day marketplace, ideas forum and public screening program, AIDC attracts a dynamic mix of broadcasters, storytellers, entrepreneurs and documentary fans from all over the world. It aims to connect creators, purveyors and viewers of nonfiction screen content in ways that promote business, inspire creativity and ignite social change.

The FACTory pitching event – provides filmmakers with the opportunity to pitch ideas to local and international decision makers – including digital media publishers, subscription and free-to-air broadcasters, sales agencies and distributors – in a dynamic open forum. Almost 20 international buyers and decision makers now confirmed. Apps close 12 Jan 2016.

ACCESS@AIDC – early career mentorship program – emerging filmmakers have the chance to win a paid internship with Pulse Films (UK) including flights and accom, plus be mentored by international industry professionals at AIDC 2016. Apps close 19 Jan 2016.
