Screen Australia’s Games team in Adelaide to meet SA Game Developers

Calling all South Australian game developers!

Ahead of the South Australian Film Corporation’s public-facing SAGE: SA Game Exhibition event on Friday, 10 February, South Australian game studios and independent developers will have the chance to meet with Screen Australia’s Games team at a series of special industry events to learn more about federal funding opportunities.

Screen Australia Head of Online Lee Naimo and Games Investment Manager Amelia Laughlan are heading to Adelaide to meet South Australian game studios and independent developers in a series of special industry events running 9 and 10 February, 2023 – with registrations open now!

SA Game Developers: Get to Know Screen Australia Presentation and Mixer

All SA video game developers are invited to attend this special presentation by Screen Australia’s Games team detailing Screen Australia’s Games: Expansion Pack fund, which is currently open for applications, followed by a Q&A session and networking. Light catering will be provided.

One-on-One Meet and Greets with Screen Australia’s Games Team

SA developers are invited to register for a one-on-one meeting with the Screen Australia Games team, with a limited number of 30-minute sessions being held over two days at Game Plus on Thursday 9 February, 12.30pm to 2.00pm and at the SAFC’s Adelaide Studios on Friday 10 February, 9.30am to 1.00pm.

The goal of these meetings is to connect the SA game community with their national screen agency and allow them to share their experiences of making games in South Australia. Practitioners at any stage of their game development careers are welcome to attend. Places are limited, so registrations are essential.

SAGE: SA Game Exhibition

Experience the best in South Australian video games at the South Australian Film Corporation’s inaugural SAGE: SA Game Exhibition – Adelaide’s newest and most exciting event for video game developers, fans, players and enthusiasts, and everyone in between!

Free and open to the public, SAGE will feature 18 South Australian game developers and studios exhibiting their latest works – come and play the games, meet the teams behind them and learn more about South Australia’s games sector.

SAGE 2023 is your chance to experience the best of South Australia’s thriving video game development industry first-hand.

When: Friday, 10 February, open from 2.00pm to 6.00pm (formal opening by South Australian Arts Minister Andrea Michaels at 2.15pm)
