First Nations Advisory Committee member Nara Wilson

Nara Wilson is a proud Wirangu, Kokatha and Larrakia woman and independent screen producer based in South Australia.

In her previous role as SAFC Associate Executive, Nara was instrumental in establishing the SAFC’s Centralised partnership with Screen Territory and other founding partners and oversaw project and industry development outcomes including the Deadly Family Portraits series for ABC iView.

As SAFC First Nations Industry Development Executive, Nara led and implemented all programming, initiatives and events from the SAFC’s Aboriginal Screen Strategy 2018 – 2019 and the First Nations Screen Strategy 2020 – 2025 along with other industry development programs. She was also a driving force behind the agency’s Reconciliation Action Plan 2018 – 2019 and 2020 – 2022, Disability Equality Plan and Diversity and Inclusion Strategy 2022-2032.  She has also played an important role in the establishment and management of the SAFC’s First Nations Screen Advisory Committee.
