Join your South Australian screen industry colleagues at this special event, where Todd Abbott will share his extensive experience in producing programs for the ABC, Seven, Nine, Ten, Foxtel, Sky News and Pivot (USA), across a broad range of genres including comedy, factual, documentary, news and current affairs, science, sport and light entertainment.
After gaining an honours degree in journalism, Todd began his TV career at the ABC and has since worked for the national broadcaster both as an executive producer and as a development producer on programs including triple j tv, Spicks and Specks and The Gruen Transfer. His company Pigeon Fancier Productions has co-produced Please Like Me, Judith Lucy’s Spiritual Journey and Judith Lucy Is All Woman.
Most recently Todd has been producer and executive producer of the acclaimed and award-winning comedy/drama series Please Like Me, created by Josh Thomas, and the comedy/factual series Judith Lucy’s Spiritual Journey. He produced the ground-breaking comedy series The Dream with Roy & H.G. and has produced at five Olympic Games, most recently in London 2012. He adapted Geoffrey Robertson’s Hypotheticals for Seven and was a producer on that network’s flagship current affairs program Witness with Jana Wendt. For the Nine Network he produced Micallef Tonight, and for Ten he revamped Rove for its move to Sunday nights in 2007.
