Q: How are decisions made?



The SAFC uses a combination of qualitative and quantitative criteria to determine how production funding is allocated. This is based on the information provided by applicants in the application form submitted for each Industry Program.View further information about the principles that underpin our decision making here

Q: When can I apply?

Production Support: Screen Production Investment, Revolving Film Fund and the Producer Equity Scheme applications are open all year. They are considered by the Board at the subsequent Board meeting after the application has been received.

Development Support & Company Support: Application dates are listed on the relevant program page on the SAFC website, and upcoming deadlines will regularly be announced via SAFC subscriber communications.

Q: How do I obtain access to information held by the South Australian Film Corporation?

Freedom of Information Act 1991 (FOI Act) extends to every person the right to:

  • Obtain access to information held by South Australian State and local government agencies including the South Australian Film Corporation (SAFC); and
  • Ensure that records held by such government agencies concerning the personal affairs of members of the public are not incomplete, incorrect, out of date or misleading.
