Strategic Plan

South Australian Film Corporation is committed to maintaining and building on its reputation as the home of Australian independent screen production.

Our leadership position in the screen industries primarily benefits our local filmmakers, production and post-production companies, but our success also benefits the broader South Australian economy and society. In 2013-2014 screen production made an economic contribution of $77.2 million to South Australia’s gross state product and 754 full time equivalent employees.

The SAFC is at the beginning of a new era with a number of emerging opportunities. Since the completion of the state-of-the-art Adelaide Studios, the SAFC and the local industry have developed significant momentum, with record production levels, impressive creative achievements and an increase in the level of local screen business development.

To build on this success the SAFC will, over the course of this plan, continue to innovate, remain open to opportunities and maximise the allocation of its resources to the South Australian industry.
