GENERAL GUIDELINES AND STANDARD TERMS OF TRADE

The General Guidelines provide the basic framework for all of the South Australian Film Corporation’s programs and initiative guidelines. The South Australian Film Corporation’s Standard Terms of Trade provide guidance on how the South Australian Film Corporation will conduct its business.

The Producer Equity Scheme (PES) is a mechanism designed to transfer the South Australian Film Corporation’s recoupment rights in the films in which it invests to the South Australian producer/s of those films.

SideDoor provides a secondary avenue to the FilmLab program for teams with production ready projects that have not been developed through the FilmLab intensive workshop.

Funding is provided to organisations that support and develop screen culture in South Australia in line with the SAFC’s mission statement.

The South Australian Government offers a payroll tax exemption to producers shooting feature films in South Australia. The incentive reduces the film’s payroll total by approximately 6%.

SPECIAL INITIATIVES

AusFilm Co-Production Forum

Ausfilm’s inaugural Co–Production Forum is a targeted two-day event in London, pre Cannes. The forum is aimed at developing and ultimately attracting more international productions to Australia in partnership with Australian producers.

J P McGowan Initiative

This ABC, AFFIF and SAFC initiative is for the production of a half hour documentary celebrating the life and work of South Australian born, Hollywood pioneer J P McGowan.
