Free and Confidential Locations and Production Liaison Service

The SAFC’s Free and Confidential Locations and Production Liaison Service helps producers to source locations, facilities and crew.

The SAFC can assist with on the ground costs for inbounds for location searches (financial assistance is available on a case by case basis if funds are available).

The SAFC can put you in contact with South Australian location managers experienced in international and domestic feature film, television and television commercial production.

Simply fill out our location enquiry form and we will supply you with logistical information and in most cases, selected images from our locations database which comprises of over 30,000 images. 

South Australia offers an exemption on payroll tax for qualifying productions. Worth approximately 4.95% of crew wages, the exemption offers more cash flow benefits than a rebate.

Other incentives include Cash Flow Facilities, Location Services Incentive and Australian Government Incentives/ Offsets.

Affordability

Location fees are low relative to the rest of Australia, fire and police services are provided for free or at cost, and food and accommodation are affordable and of a very high standard.
