SAFC Production Facilities

The SAFC’s multi-purpose facilities are located just 15 minutes from the centre of Adelaide and from the Adelaide International Airport.

Our facilities are used for feature film, television, short film and television commercial production. We provide 24-hour access as well as technical and administrative support.

The facilities include:

Sound stages

Sound stage 1 – 30 x 16 x 5.1 m (100 x 53 x 17 ft)
Can be acoustically treated to accommodate full orchestral recordings.
Sound stage 2 – 23 x 16 x 5.1 m (80 x 53 x 17 ft) with cyclorama 

Production offices

A range of suite sizes, all air conditioned with phone, fax and reception support. Located adjacent to sound stages and other production facilities. 

Art department

One large space and a props store. The sound stages can be hired for set builds.

Wardrobe

Two large spaces and a laundry with dyeing vat and drying room.

Other facilities

Plus make-up facilities, a green room with kitchen for crew meals (provided free-of-charge), screening facilities for rushesand spaces for auditions and rehearsals.

Production community

The SAFC is home to a community of production and post production services and companies, including Cameraquip, Angela Heesom Casting, Sonic Art, Sputnik Films, Vertigo Productions, Geoffrey Reed Communications, Cyan Films, Anthouse Films and Tania Nehme editing.
