Australia has announced a new component to its alaredy  a new international event celebrating documentary, factual film and television. The Australian International Documentary Conference (AIDC Ltd) has unveiled the expansion of its annual conference and the introduction of ‘Documentary Week’ (DocWeek). DocWeek will be held in Adelaide, South Australia.

DocWeek will umbrella the conference annually in 2013, 2014 and 2015. DocWeek will take place at
several venues around Adelaide’s CBD from Monday the 25th of February till Sunday the 3rd of March
and is presented in partnership with the annual Adelaide Festival.

The Australian International Documentary Conference will be staged at the Intercontinental Hotel, from February 25 – 28, 2013 as part of the DocWeek program. Read the full media release here

On other things AIDC....Submission for the 2013 F4 are now open!

Australian filmmakers at the start of their career are encouraged to submit their first completed film to the 2013 First Factual Film Festival (F4). Documentaries can be of any genre, style and length and made for any screen-based platform. This is an outstanding development opportunity for emerging filmmakers, with finalists participating in a mentoring program to be held during AIDC in 2013.
